We’re Not Gonna Protest!

I didn’t go to NYC for the protests. Sorry? Still, you gotta be amazed that so many people came out to protest a single president and his administration. This is my 4th president in office (Reagan and Clinton both went for 8) and I have never seen anything like this. Definitely the biggest protest of our generation … cool.

Here is one of many great pics I found online, courtesty of rion.nu

And and excerpt from the site.

The demonstrations were New York City’s biggest in decades, and
the most emphatic at any national political convention since Democrats and demonstrators
turned against each other in fury over Vietnam in Chicago in 1968. But the first
day was overwhelmingly peaceful, and the demonstrators doused a good bit of
Mr. Bush’s intended message with television images of dissent. – upstaging

Bon Voyage to me

So yes, there was a party for me this Sunday, and my people came through and a good time was had by all. The fact is, I didn’t actually get too many shots, but managed to pull off a nice ‘team photo’ a la Order of the Phoenix.

Andrew Nagy’s Art

Andrew Nagy, Columbia Graduate and South Orange ex-patriot, and his gallery opening in NYC. Part of the Media Project for the fictitious US Department of Art & Technology. I don’t quite get it, but thats art for ya.

Pictures mainly of Joaquin, Ethan and Katie. Not pictured, Andrew Nagy, and Angie….sigh.

Been Busy

So I haven’t been posting much, in spite of the fact that I discovered QuickPost which makes things so easy (and explains a lot about bloggers in general). Yes, I don’t really have anything important to say, but its more the fact that I am busy with lots of other work and I don’t feel like wasting time with my website when I have client projects to take care of. This website eats up a tremendous amount of time, trying to fix all the glitches and make the templates right and such, which hasn’t yet happened, by the way.

I made $132.20 the other day in a single day, by selling my TV, some tools, and from playing poker (the $0.20). I deposited $150 in the bank and I felt like the richest man ever. How pathetic, no?

Speaking of pathetic, what’s with this election. Boring.

Speaking of more pathetic, what’s with USA Basketball sucking up the court in Athens. Man, you all gotta get your thug asses in gear, jerks. USA is behind China and Russia in the medal count and Japan and Australia are close behind. C’mon, folks, get it together.

I like the Olympics.

Wait, what?

Ok, so I am back to the original problem I was having last week with the archives and such. Geez.

I broke it, again.

Somehow, I seriously do not know how, my site seems to be thoroughly broken, not even displaying the main page, which never gave me any problems until now. In addition the archives seem to have broken, none of them display at all, where once only the same entry was displayed. Don’t ask me why, but things are odd. Who knows when I will have time to fix it.

In positive news, I did manage to fix the spam blocker, images on the control panel, quickpost, and a few other aspects of the site. Halfway there, I suppose.

Patillas a Las Vegas

The Patron Saint Festival of Patillas. Lots of lights and cheesy rides and on-the-spot eyebrow piercings. Not to mention drunk people and more Puerto Ricans than you can shake a stick at.

Also, random shots of Pollo Tropical who blatantly stole the Tropicana OJ font. Shame on Florida, again.

Caribbean National Forest. Green and in all other ways cool.

Isla Verde & Old San Juan

Summer Holiday to Puerto Rico, day one. Got off the plane and went straight to the beach, of course we were tragically unprepared to go to the beach that day so we went to Old San Juan.
