Charlie and the Science Museum

Charles Pax and his new-found hobby.

“What can I only do in London?” asks Mr. Pax.

The next day, we find Charlie on visits to the V&A, The Natural History Museum, The Geology Museum and The Science Museum. A fine day in South Kensington.

Too bad we couldn’t hit The Design Museum or the Transport Museum. Alas.

Back to the Pacific Rim

At the Hog’s Head for a goodbye dinner for On-Young and Takashi. Taking photos with the vague attempt to make em look depth of field-ish.

I am Conduit

Check out http://fontshop.com/IAM/. Interesting experiment linking fonts with personality types and general cultural, gender, and ethnic iconography. All part of the ever-quest for self-branding.

Actually, according to my CV, I’m Formata, and on this website, I’m Helvetica and Georgia – just to make things webby.

Genuine British Eccentrics

It seems that my two favourite Big Brother Housemates will be parted tonight as one of them is set for eviction.

Derek has been there since the beginning and although he seems to be a fictional character created by the Conservative Party to win younger votes, I still think he is the most ‘real’ housemate because he actually has some life experience and knows how to formulate a proper sentence. He is without a doubt, eccentric. (and posh, and gay, and bald, and black.)

Eugene is a classic example of why engineers are picked on. He’s smart and has a lot to say, its just that he has no social skills despite meaning well. I can’t say why he’s such an oddball, maybe something to do with his mother. The fact that he understands how to communicate in Morse Code (and is not an RAF fighter pilot) qualifies him as eccentric. But gotta love his annecdotes.

My prediction is that Eugene will go, but the vote will be exceptionally close. Derek has been there since the beginning, and so the purists will vote him to stay, as will most of the ‘coloured concern’, as it is known by the Tories. Then again, with the departure of Kemal last week, who can tell!
