This house is outta place.
Some kind of historic area in Phoenix. I guess it's original, but it's still very out of place, since Phoenix didn't exactly spring up in Victorian period the way San Francisco did. Take my word, this makes no sense out here.

Gilded window letters
This little section of LA (Silver Lake) features lots of shops with handpainted storefronts and signs. This one is quite elaborate and I appreciate it.

Hazy sunset
Not the clearest day, but this was the first time I had seen the California coast (San Francisco doesn't count). I'm still a little shocked by how the mountains in this area pop up out of nowhere.

Thats California for ya.
Sometimes I feel like every store needs this. I have found myself often unable to ask for directions in large cities (New York, London, et al.) because I don't speak, y'know, every language on Earth.
Obviously, this is a remark on the massive Spanish-speaking population in SoCal. But it's odd because this is an otherwise stodgy eyewear shop. Where do they get off with cheeky social commentary?

Commuting in a strange city
I'm in LA now, and figuring out how to get places. I've already underestimated the massive scale of the city and how spread out it is. I've looked up how to travel to certain faraway neighbourhoods and it seems downright absurd that I would take two buses and a train to get from A to B. Maybe it's true, i do need a car.

This burrito is the size of a small cat
I ate the whole thing. In retrospect, it wasn't the best move, and I did not sleep well. I guess I have a weak east coast stomach.

Chicago Buildings
The final day in Chicago, I find myself, as I often do, roaming the streets of a foreign city with little goal or intention, save to photograph the geometric randomness observed in the unity of sun and stone and glass. Chicago is suitable for such a charge.

In Chicago
At the FUSE Conference. Here are the photos I snapped in my awkward, paparazzi-esque moment.
